Corned Beef Hash Cakes




Corned beef is a brine-cured beef. The term "corn" in corned beef refers to the "corns" or grains of coarse salts used to cure it. The Oxford English Dictionary defines corn to mean "a small hard particle, a grain, as of sand or salt." Potassium nitrate (saltpeter) is often added to the brine to preserve the beef's pink color.

Originating in Ireland, references to Corned Beef can be found in writings dating back to the 12th century. However the modern day popularity of corned beef is mainly attributed to the Irish-American culture of the United States.

Ingredients :

- Kentang
- Korned beef
- Telur
- Merica n Garam
- Keju cheddar, parut
- Minyak goreng

Pelapis :

- Telur, kocok
- Tepung panir

Method :

- Rebus kentang dengan air yang diberi sedikit garam, lalu haluskan dengan garpu
- Campur kentang bersama korned beef, telur, keju lalu bumbui dengan garam n merica
- Tuang kedalam cetakan yang telah dialasi plastik n diolesi minyak.
- Kukus didalam dandang yang telah dipanaskan. Alasi tutup dandang dengan serbet supaya air ga menetes kedalam adonan kentang
- Dinginkan, lalu potong2.
- Celupkan kedalam kocokan telur lalu gulingkan kedalam tepung panir. diamkan sebentar dalam almari es
- Goreng dalam minyak panas sedang hingga matang
- Hidangkan bersama saus cabai pedas :)

Note :
- Kalo ga pengen repot-repot mengukus, kentang engga direbus tapi diiris2 melingkar lalu goreng n haluskan, campur dengan bahan lain n bentuk sesuei selera (seperti bikin perkedel)
- Adnonan Bisa langsung digoreng atau dicelupkan kedalam telor n tepung panir sperti cara diatas .. its your choice :D
